Over the past few weeks, I am noticing changes in Boo's behaviour.  Most of these changes are regarding his sleep/night time habits.

Normally, I would only need to care for Boo during the day, as he would sleep solidly through the night, in a very deep sleep, and then it would be very difficult to wake him in the morning.

Although it is still difficult to wake him in the mornings, he is no longer sleeping through the night.

He is sleeping very lightly, and waking in the night.
Unfortunately, he doesn't just wake and then go back to sleep ...... no, that would be too easy.

Boo wakes up, gets up, opens everyone's bedroom doors, turns on all of the lights, turns on his television and switches on his fan.

Needless to say, this is very disruptive to everyone in the house, but I just don't know what to do to stop this.

Another change in his behaviour/habits is to do with fans and fan heaters.
He has become obsessive about sitting in front of anything that blows out hot or cold air, even to the point where he sits on the floor and follows the hoover when I am using it, as it has a vent on it that blows out warm air.
It seems to be his favourite place to be.
He would lie in front of a fan or heater all day, given the chance, and gets extremely upset when they are removed.

For a while now, Boo has refused to go to sleep without a fan in his bedroom.
I have tried, on several occasions to remove it, but he goes into meltdown, and it takes forever to settle him back down.
I know I am the weak one for allowing him to keep it, but it's easy to be objective about these things when you are on the outside looking in.

When you are the one dealing with the meltdowns and aggression, it is not so easy.

So now I am faced with the dilemma of trying to solve 2 problems.
How do I encourage him to not be so dependant on the fan/heaters, and how can I get him to stop his strange night time behaviour?

Sometimes it feels like the battles are never ending.
