In June I attended Britmums Live, and while there I was lucky enough to meet, and chat to, the wonderful people from Warner Bros.

They were there to tell us all about UV (UltraViolet) which is the new digital way to view and store films.
UV is a digital copy that is included with your DVD and means that you can download it to, and watch it on, your computer as well as a large range of other compatible devices.

The digital copy is downloaded via Flixster and you need to have a Flixster account in order to download and view the file, but it is quick and easy to set up the account.
The downloads are also very simple to do, with easy to follow, step by step instructions given on the screen.

As it gives you the option to either stream the films or download them it means that you can watch them with, or without an internet connection which is a great idea, especially if you are watching them on the move.

Another big positive to UV is that it is child proof!
With 5 children in our house our DVDs are forever getting scratched or broken, but being able to store them digitally means that, even if that happens, we are still able to watch the movies over and over again.

My children love Looney Tunes and Warner Bros. were kind enough to send us UV copies of Bugs Bunny and Tweety Pie to enjoy and review.

We enjoyed a lovely 'movie night' with popcorn and chocolate, and mummy and daddy the children loved it.
I'd forgotten how great Looney Tunes are.

I think UV is a fantastic idea and I have a feeling it will be a life saver when we go on holiday in October, as instead of sitting in the back of the car getting bored after a few rounds of eye spy, the children will be able to watch their favourite cartoons on the iPad, which will keep them happily amused.

After watching, and downloading, our Looney Tunes DVDs I had a quick look through the rest of our collection and discovered that we already had a couple of movies that were UV, and I hadn't even noticed!
So, my advice to you would be to have a quick look at the DVDs you've already got as you may already own some fabulous UV movies without even realising it.

If not then don't worry, just check back here soon, as we will be giving away a UV copy of Tom and Jerry to one lucky reader in the near future!
