When Minnie was born we were worried about how an already rebelling Roo would cope with another addition to the family.
So, when Minnie came home from the hospital she had a little book with her called Guess How Much I Love You, by Sam McBratney, to give to Roo.
It was wrapped up in blue paper with a little note attached to it with golden ribbon, telling Roo that she was the best big sister and that Minnie already loved her very much.

Roo adored the book, so when we were offered a copy of Guess How Much I Love You on DVD, to review, we jumped at the chance.

The DVD is beautifully animated and includes 8 episodes that follow the characters Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare through many different fun adventures.
You are also introduced to lots of other countryside creatures, including Little White Owl and Little Field Mouse.

We all cuddled up together on the sofa, ready to watch and all of the children were riveted.
I couldn't believe how quiet they were. Even Little Man (who is normally unable to sit still for more than a minute before feeling the need to go and destroy something) was compltely captivated by what was happening on screen.

The DVD is designed to teach children as young as 2 years old the meaning of love and affection for those closest to them, and helps them to learn how to express their feelings.
It also includes episodes that teach them about things such as the four seasons and being big.

Guess How Much I Love You really is wonderful, and would make a lovely gift for children, which is perfect for snuggling up on the sofa together on cold winter nights.
