Last weekend (19th & 20th June) I was lucky enough to attend Britmums Live, along with lots of other fabulous bloggers.

Recently I have been finding it hard to find the time (and the energy) to write my blog posts.  Things have been pretty hectic at home and by the time I finally get a few moments to myself in the evenings I am tired and can't find the motivation to sit down and write.

It has been a couple of years since I last attended Britmums Live and I am really glad that I chose to go again this year.

It was an amazing couple of days where I got to reconnect with bloggers that I have previously met, as well as making lots of new friends.
I also got to meet some of the companies who were sponsoring the event and looking for bloggers to work with in the future.

There were informative session about writing, design, photography, working with companies, and more.

As an ice breaker, we even got the chance to attempt to break an official Guinness World Record!

We were provided with lots of toilet roll and challenged to see how many people we could wrap as mummies in the space of 3 minutes, without leaving any significant gaps in the paper.

After wrapping lots of mummies the official judges went around the room to count (and disqualify) mummies.

And guess what?

The current record stood at 50 mummies and we managed to wrap 51 meaning that, as a part of Britmums, I am now an official Guinness World Record holder!

The sessions that I attended were really interesting and I have learnt a lot about making the most of my blog, and I am ready for some new challenges.
Over the next 12 months I am aiming to really work on improving my photography and to get out of the habit of using the auto settings on my DSLR camera.  Don't get me wrong .... point and shoot photography can be a real life saver, especially if I'm in too much of a hurry to be messing around with the settings, but I would love to be able to make sure I am getting the most out of my camera, and I get a real sense of achievement when I take a good photograph after altering all of the settings myself.

I am also hoping to start some vlogging!

I have set up a You Tube channel specifically for Missy. B & Family and my first vlog will be coming soon, so keep an eye out for it.

Attending Britmums Live has made me realise just how much I miss blogging.

We had some brilliant keynote speakers at Britmums Live, including Carol Smillie, Deliciously Ella, Victoria Wright and Caprice.

And who can forget the Brilliance In Blogging Awards (BiBs).

At the end of the second day there was laughter and tears as we listened to some amazing bloggers read their own posts about work, friendship, family and loss.
(At the end of this post I will include links to them. Please take a few minutes to go and have a read of them, they truly are worth every minute of your time).

I had a fantastic time at Britmums Live and am already looking forward to next year.

Little Man starts full time school in September and Squidge will be starting Nursery for 3 hours in the morning, which means that it will just be Bubba and I at home in the mornings.

I am hoping that this will mean that I can find more time to get back to doing what I love the most ..... writing!
